La Villa de Co is a tropical bungalow located at the famous Playa Las Gatas in Zihuatanejo Bay.

Playa Las Gatas is popular for its clear tranquil waters thanks to a reef that protects it from the waves. Inside the barrier the water is calm enough for small children to play and for non-swimmers to safely enjoy themselves. It's an ideal place to practice snorkeling. Outside the barrier is good for diving, kayaking and banana rides. Numerous restaurants offering fresh local seafood line the beach, most with lounge chairs and umbrellas for their guests' comfort.

The main access to Playa Las Gatas is by water taxi from the municipal pier in downtown Zihuatanejo. It's about a 10-minute ride. The water taxis run from 8:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M., though sometimes they run a little later after a busy beach day when many people wait until the last minute to leave. There's a natural footpath along the rocky coast to Playa La Ropa that some people use. It's a little tricky to walk, but if you want to go to Playa La Ropa it's about a 10-minute walk, and tennis shoes are recommended. After the day's visitors leave, Playa Las Gatas remains mostly empty with only a few local residents who live here. This guarantees tranquility and beautiful evenings in contact with nature.

La Villa de Co can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. This vacation bungalow has two bedrooms on the ground floor, each with a King-size bed, private bathroom, and air-conditioning. Upstairs there's a third bedroom that is open-air under a palapa roof. It has a private bathroom, a floor fan, and mosquito netting for the bed.

The ground floor has a large open-air terrace with a full kitchen complete with a bar, a food preparation counter, refrigerator, induction grill, toaster oven, coffee maker, dining table, and all the cooking utensils you should need. There's also an old-fashioned grill for folks who like to grill outdoors. After 5:30 P.M. the day's visitors leave Playa Las Gatas, and all its restaurants close.

The bungalow is located just a few steps from the beach, and the nearest neighbors are also your hosts. So there's always someone available on the property to attend to the needs of our guests.

At Villa de Co we endeavor to make your stay with us the most enjoyable. It's important to mention that since we are surrounded by nature and neighbors, sometimes you'll hear dogs barking, see, iguanas wandering about, be visited by cats, and even be awakened by crowing roosters. Additionally, you'll enjoy the presence of local wildlife such as chachalacas cackling, squirrels scurrying about, and woodpeckers who definitely like making themselves heard in the mornings.

Among the benefits that our guests enjoy is the use of the bathrooms and showers at our beachfront restaurant Chez Camille. You'll also enjoy a special area of the restaurant where you can relax during the day to enjoy the beach, and we'll give you a 50% discount on our snorkel equipment rentals.

Although after the day's tourist visitation hours are over there are no water taxis for getting to downtown Zihuatanejo, we have our own boat available in case of any emergency.
